Default Surveillance cameras needed within cabins?

I just watched the passenger recording of the recent incident where an AAL FA is alleged to have intentionally struck a mother of two young children with a stroller during a flight. Unfortunately, the camera does not switch on until after the alleged stroller strike has taken place, and all we see is the passenger is hysterically crying and other passengers making threats towards the FA.

It seems like these recent incidents might be creating a slippery slope, where some unscrupulous passengers may start to intentionally antagonize crew members with the hopes of getting a response that will trigger a lawsuit against the airlines.

How can this be prevented? The only solution I can think of at the moment would be for the installation of in-flight visual/audio recording equipment within all cabins. I am an outsider to the industry, so please forgive any ignorance on my part regarding this topic.

Thoughts?

Keep em out of the cockpit and I then don't care.

Got them at B6. They just don't record.

What you mean "just like"? Domestic air travel has been greyhound for a while now.

Heck yeah, it's a great idea, as well as the external cams like on the A-380 and 787, they should record on the FDR on some kind of loop as well. These days the weight penalty for such systems is nearly nil.

Next thing you know, they've found their way into the cockpit. I'd keep them off the plane.
