No worries!
Best of luck to you in week 2 @HP. I had a blast in the sim, even though I had no (and still don't have) heavy iron experience.
SWA really goes out of their way to provide a very comfortable and welcoming interview experience.
I know of guys that made it after their 3rd time, so I'll keep knocking on the door.
With 7000TT, and over 2500 Tbn PIC, hopefully the phone will ring once again.
Best of luck to you and appreciate the response.

SWA,I think, relyies alot on personal recommendations from senior captians.
I got a call 2 months after my app was in and without a type, interviewed 5 weeks later, and now am waiting for words.
1900 PIC 2200 total Mil, and I was very surprised to get a call. fingers crossed

Default If it helps

If it helps....put my app in Dec of 2005. Military 2400 PIC, 3200 total, no type rating, Chief of Stan/Eval. Interviewed April 2006. Hired, got the type rating a week later, started class 9 days after that. Been at SWA for 6 months.....ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!
My recommendation....get the type and take a gamble. Its worth it.
Dont forget, you can deduct the type from your INCOME on taxes as a job related expense, which is huge. Saved me a boat load on taxes.
Or you can Montgomery GI the whole thing instead.
Cheers

It has been over a month since our class finished up at HP and nobody has heard anything from SW yet. They told us the same thing as was previously mentioned in this thread....typed get the look much more often than the non typed do.

Enjoy your second week at HP, though it is probably over as I type this (or if you are 300 then you are prepping for your ride today or tomorrow). Either way, nothing but good to say about HP and SWA. Everyone we spoke or dealt with from both companys were an absolute joy to deal with.

I am in class with o/w herc. I got hired with no type. I had to wait a year but I got the call. You need to find a way to contact the people dept. and ask about the status of your app. 2 of my friends did just that with no type and they both got the interview call.
