I think they’ll do hard time. But we all know hard time doesn’t equate to rehabilitation. It’s a vicious cycle. They’ll get out, reoffend and go back in then out, then in then out. In, out, in, out, in, out.

This is true. And true rehabilitation is needed to lubricate the wheels of justice. Otherwise the system just beats people down.
