Ah okay fair enough!

Sorry I didn’t mean pay rate, I meant how likely are you to get the aircraft you bid for as a new hire (E190 over A220)

The 2K bucks a month will come in really handy for the commute that’s for sure!

And thanks for that! Good to know, I think I misunderstood the equipment lock to mean base lock too!

Class seniority. It is unfortunately random. They just assign you a class seniority based on a random number generator. It’s not by age or last 4 of your social. Last I heard the A220s went senior

Okaydokey that makes sense! Fingers crossed then

I’d be happy either way, the A220 will just offer better option for commuting, but not a big issue over all

Thanks for the info !

Does anyone know if Breeze still has a 3 year equipment lock? From what I understand commuting is terrible on the 190/195 so I wouldn’t want to be stuck on it for 3 years. Is there a fair amount of new hires going to the 220?

TIA

Default AQP

I’m a CFI and I was hired by Breeze. I’m nervous for the airline training but I was wondering if anyone has any insight in to how the traditional training that Breeze does would compare to the AQP training at an airline like envoy or skywest. Will I find it extremely hard compared to the AQP? Any thoughts ?
TIA

it's not too different. The PC check is like an MV, that's all.

They’re changing some of the training to cater to CFIs. Ground school portion is not very hard. They give you plenty of sim prep too. As long as you have some kind of IFR experience and glass cockpit/FMS knowledge, you’ll be alright for sim. Do yourself a favor and really read the operations manuals. They don’t ask you about it during your oral and checkride and you can easily get away with not knowing much about it. After all as a low experienced pilot you’re not just trying to pass the checkride, you’re trying to really understand what you’re doing out there on the line. Good luck!

Odds are, a CFI has never done an MV.

C'mon, guy. Lack of common experience is a barrier to communication. Basic fundamentals of instruction.

Thanks that helps a lot. As far as I understand a MV is basically like an EOC in a 141 flight school. Prep to make sure you’re ready for your checkride. I appreciate the information I’ll make sure to study the op manuals. Are you flying line at breeze?

The part you forgot to add…..Once you have passed your PC and are on line then dig into manuals etc….Not before
