cool story, btw United it about to surpass them in that department.
Despite the problems, almost every other Major is a better option and provides more stability then Breeze. Although I am sure your Union is working hard to improve things.....oh wait

What do you mean oh wait? ALPA was voted in. There’s tons of options out there definitely but the ones coming to breeze have specific reasons like seniority or bases. Me personally I don’t feel like going back down to the bottom and being a number again at the big corporations. Yea there’s seniority movement even at the legacies now but they probably can’t beat the seniority movement here either. Pay rates at least are acceptable, we are at least frontier/spirit pay but improvements coming. With the recent pay raises at delta and JetBlue and I’m sure others coming soon, they will have to increase compensation again if they want to have pilots for all the planes coming.
I find it fascinating that so many people come on the Breeze forum and try and convince Breeze pilots that it’s so bad. This is my third airline, and BY FAR the best QOL and money for the little amount of work it is. All we do is fly an airplane for a job. You think I’d be better off 1 or 2 leg commuting to some giant city I don’t wanna even be in, overnighting places I don’t want to overnight, and flying with old crusty captains I don’t want to fly with? All for what? Maybe 5 years down the road “break even” to what I’m making now?? Where will breeze be at by then? What if the age 70 law passed? How’s all that seniority list movement gonna look for you at UAL/DAL/AA? Guess what, I’ve seen it first hand to a family member when it went to 65, you’re gonna stagnate. For a LONG time. I’ll never come on here and say someone went wrong for going to a legacy, but let’s keep our head out of our as$es and understand all we do is fly a plane for a living. You think making 275k a year, rather than 250k is really gonna push you over the edge?

You can’t argue with people on APC. Just let them act like they are getting the win in the argument and move on. I remember sitting standby reserve in the crew room, commuting and being away from home 15+ nights a month. You gotta do something to make yourself “feel” superior.

I agree with you for the most part. And i like to check in and follow the company still. I don't wish anything bad on you guys. I actually broke even my first year, and didn't fly with angry crusty captains like I thought.. actually the opposite, and overall its been in a different universe than breeze. I lost faith in Breeze due to the shenanigans of late 2020 and early 2021...when we collectively were on the ropes they took advantage. That's when I knew I wasn't gonna stay long term.
I'm responding to the sentiment that someone is crazy for going to a legacy-- a sentiment that was shouted on the rooftops by some in management as we were heading out the door. Boy I'm glad I didn't listen to all the threats of bankruptcy, furloughs, and stagnation!
Everyone can pick their own risks 👍

It's greener by a lot. I nearly replaced my relative seniority in 1 yr after leaving, made more in my first yr as an FO than what i would have had as a breeze captain. Plus, I got to the left seat before my seat lock would have expired anyway. No commuting on divvy cards either... Others who left and took early opportunities for greener pastures have had very similar experiences at other bases.
your assertion is ridiculous when it comes to the opportunities available at this particular time. No offense.
But the username checks ✔️
