So many questions...
I don't know, but after reading the FA requirements maybe they should locate the Breeze thread in Union talk?

I wonder if the Captain will be assigned a harem? Or a group of sister wives from the northern rim of the Grand Canyon?

"Amid a dramatic landscape of copper-red mountains and achingly blue skies, women wear modest, ankle-skimming dresses and keep their hair long so they can anoint and wash their men’s feet with their locks in the afterlife. A dozen “sister wives” might be married to a single man, and they all raise their children by him together. "

Dreamy!

Neeleman assumes your typical broke a$$, aspiring FA thinks like....well, like they’re not a broke a$$, aspiring FA. Not gonna work. I’ve never started an airline but I’m a god dang savant when it comes to flight attendant psychology. This is stupid.

Overseas airlines which only employ young, hot FA's get rave reviews for quality of service. Looks like Neeleman is getting after that, and it's worth some expense for him...

I think he's less worried about cost and more worried about the eventual impact of old, grumpy FA's on his customer experience and brand image.

If he just paid regional wages, he'd get regional FA's. We all know that's pretty hit and miss.

Also might help attract pilots, better onboard dating pool than most places.

Meh, that's basically most CFIs doing crashpads for the first time at your average regional.

I’m no lawyer or FA expert.

But, if they’re mandating continuous training (30 credits a year and a 3.0 gpa to be exact).

And Breeze will only be paying UP TO $6K.

Aren’t they setting themselves up for some sort of potential legal case or FAA involvement down the road? Particularly with time and duty/rest.

Aren’t they essentially implemented mandatory training for continued employment.

That's a fascinating article. Worth the read.

Very clever way to screen your workforce for years and know exactly what you're getting when you hire them. This guy is a genius.

Given the talent pool and local social customs of Utah, there's an excellent chance they won't stick around 30 years either. Plenty of good older FA's out there, but it really is a job better suited for younger men and women.

Thanks for posting.

Must have a type rating in the E170/E190. Interesting.

Must be poaching talent from Skywest then. Given the environment going forward, I can imagine more than a few 20 year old FO's and even CA's taking the risk. Might be worth it if you get in on the ground floor.

No doubt, the dude is a genius. Honestly though, who doesn’t want young hot flight attendants in the back of the aircraft?

A large number of unemployed E175 pilots -- CPZ being one of the sources.

Going to be a CPZ reunion then. Hopefully. Good for them.

The old saying about “be nice to your copilot, he may be your captain at your next airline” comes to mind....
