Thanks for the help!

Don't forget internal letters of recommendation. This could be a sticking point for many.

I know several RJ FO's who got hired at the mins with internal recs. I also know CA's who can't get called, so I would say that an internal rec is the most significant factor.

Most importantly it depends on the reputation on the sponsor and the quality of people he/she previously recommended. With some people - same day call!

Good luck!

Question Am I reading this right?

What does someone need to get hired out of the right seat of an RJ?

Contintental's Hiring Mins:

1,500 hours fixed-wing total flight time
1,000 hours fixed-wing PIC time, or 500 hours PIC time and 500 hours SIC time in a turbojet
1,000 hours fixed-wing turbine time

1,000 hours fixed-wing multi-engine time (civilian or military) or 1,000 hours single-engine military fighter jet time
A current ATP written exam
A current first class FAA medical
A current passport
A Bachelor's degree is highly desired

If someone has 1000 hrs f/w turbine SIC, but no turbine PIC, can they get hired?

Yep, as long as you have the 500 regular PIC. 172/dual given counts. When you do the airlineapps, it will take out all dual-recieved from your total PIC. So, if you are one of those people who was hired at a regional with around 5-600 hrs, you may not make the 500 pic requirement after all the dual recieved is removed.
