Default Old United Airlines DC-10 commercial

I love how they advertise the plane instead of the fares. They emphasize how quiet the -10 is, roomy and even a lounge! That's fantastic! How many airlines have a lounge on their planes? There certainly was a lot of pride in an airline back then. Oh, the good ole days!

This is another good commercial too. Ironic to say the least! An airline that reduces pay, benefits and morale to a grain of soil advertises, not 10 years ago, exactly why pilots should be well compensated for their job.

Sorry. Another one I couldn't hold out on. Listen carefully to the important line in the commercial: "....a tradition of experience."

I recognized him from "Emergency" but couldn't have come up with the names. Did you remember those or did you have to look them up?

You have to remember, this is back in the day that they regulated the price and routes that airlines could use. Airlines had to do something to make themselves stand apart from one another. They could not change the price to under cut the competition.
