MEA insider help in USA
Looks like the Middle Eastern Airlines have had inside help for a long time in the U.S.
And here we though Obama was for the working man.

Is there something about the article of which we should be wary? The author seems to be bringing light to violations of the Open Skies agreement and the related shenanigans. Glad somebody is covering it. But should we not trust him? Is there a better source we should follow regarding this issue?

So what! I would be somewhat surprised if the letter by AA, DL, UA was actually written by those CEOs, and ex-adminstrators becoming lobbyist isn't earth shattering either. So there's no news or facts here, just innuendo. I personally agree the ME carriers need to be stopped, as I think there is definitely government subsidy at a level we can't compete with, and buying EU carriers to circumvent is not okay. It's just that this article proves nothing, and cites no sources for the alleged violations except the word of the hardly unbiased legacy CEOs.

The supporting letter, attached to story, was not previously public. Any reporter would be pleased to have the scoop. I thought maybe there was something inaccurate given the response to the posting of the link. Seems like fair journalism unless the author of the letter proves to be a fabrication. Not familiar enough with the author of the article to know if he normally adheres to traditional journalistic standards or not. And the reader gets to decide if the lobbyist angle is relevant. I'm with you. I couldn't care less, but some may care. Can be important to know who is working for those on either side of an issue..
