Default US airlines to shutdown??

No orderly plan in place, US airlines may have to pull the plug on their own due to leadership vacuum. This should have been planned for months, no?

There are still people and things which need to move, who's going to do it, the ANG?

Obviously if the fed needs the airlines flying, it will need to fund them somehow.

Yep, but they way its happening now is un orderly and unnecessarily spreading the virus and putting crews at risk. We knew this was coming for months, wheres the plan? We only need a small fraction of the capacity thats in the system currently

Did the author not listen to the president during his briefing today? He said he was no longer considering that.

Probably just a play by the airlines to put pressure on Congress to get a deal done.

We’re dropping to a minimal/low schedule. Yes, the handful still need to move. A total shutdown may create more problems than it solves.

I vote for whatever drawdown make somewhat sense(open to interpretation), to control Covid or due to weak demand. I don’t think with should mothball the airports. Cargo is moving too.
