Default Ownership stakes

There’s been a trend in the industry to make large investments in other airlines. How’s that panning out now that the entire Industry is negatively outperforming the market? Seems like the opposite of a hedged position.

Relatedly, does delta still have that oil refinery?

I believe they sold it at a loss a little while back.

Still got it. They tried a year or so ago to get a big JV partner (or maybe sell it outright?) but that didn’t pan out. https://www.forbes.com/sites/danielr...-oil-refinery/

Apparently Delta owns 49% of Virgin Atlantic. They aren't doing so well and Delta us not in a financial position to help.

Wow, now that is a current news update! (sarcasm)...... They also own significant %'s in Aeromexico, LATAM, Virgin Australia, Korean, and AF/KLM......turns out none of them are doing great right now either.

Close; They own 30 & 20% of Aeromexico and LATAM respectively, and about 10% of Korean via their stake in Hanjin and 8.8% of AF/KLM.

Virgin Aus, however, is owned by Nanshan, HNA, Singapore Airlines, Etihad and Virgin Group (not Virgin Atlantic).
