jetBlue's Future?
#2
I'm sure this will be an interesting thread. Too bad Velocipede isn't around to impart his wisdom.
My $.02: Neeleman as COB and Barger as CEO is a good combination. Union? Probably eventually, but it won't be ALPA. Too much bad blood here for that.
Make money? Yes. A lot? Who knows.
I think we finally have our senior positions filled with the right people. Hopefully that will make a positive difference starting now.
But what do I know. I just a blue flavor-aid drinker. I wear blue shirts and blue shades. My car, truck and motorcycle are blue. I'm thinking of buying a little blue boat too.
Happy flaming.

An LCC with it's base at the most expensive hub in the nation, a sunset on the best a/c deal with Airbus and employees that now want to be paid industry standard. I don't know if it will be a perfect storm but you will see some heavy weather.

Yeah, what a shame...
He's at JC but I shot him down as he tried to start his JB diatribe over there.
There's no place for that here. Wish more JB guys would join the fourms.

JC is www.jetcareers.com
It's supposedly kinder and gentler, though, it often isn't.
To each his own.

Well, I have to say that I really, really like JetBlue. But our pay and benefits are not comparable to the rest of the industry. Lately, I was on the ALPA organizing committee at Jetblue. But with some of the latest fiascos, I started looking around. I was lucky enough to get hired at Southwest Airlines, and I start there on June 13th.
I do have a daughter with some special health care needs who's now 7 months old, and doing well. I really hope that Jetblue does prosper. And even though Vegas oddsmakers may think JB will be a long term success, that's just a gamble I'm not willing to take.
Good Luck,

Tom, I simply don't know the answer to that because I've never heard we weren't paying our bills. Until I hear confirmation, I'd place that in the rumor pile, along with how we don't pay for planes or maintenance.
