barely. They are taking the ex DL 737-700’s which are marginally bigger but have significantly more powerful engines as those plane DL ordered with the most powerful CFM available as they used them for hot and high.

I don’t know where you come up with 40,000lbs. A 737-700 is only 21,000lbs more than a 737-500 and only 16,000lbs more than a 737-300 which is what UA sent in.

And besides that, the 737-700 has a larger and more efficient wing

Yeah, don’t know where the 40,000 comes from…maybe payload?

Delta didn’t have the “Bump” option for takeoff thrust. Other airlines have better -700 takeoff performance with that.

They're currently operating 3 a/c, with 3 more coming online very soon, and then 2 more by the end of the year... for a total of 8 B-737's in 2021.
They are "planning" on adding 10 planes each year until reaching 40 a/c. Will hire to have 85-90 seniority pilots by the end of 2021.
Future bases??? They are looking at opening a base at some point in Dallas, Houston, and somewhere in Florida.

They said they were going to open up the application for an end of August class. It's not open yet, so seems like they may be scrambling if they want to have the class on that schedule. They also said that while they want to expand, they aren't going to be going crazy with it either and expanding too fast. Sounds like the class date probably depends on when they'll actually be able to start flying from HVN. The plan for HVN is to lengthen the runway eventually and build a new terminal. But to start they'll be limited to kinda what's there now (which isn't much), so I think that's why they're being cautious. The infrastructure there now can only support so much. Sounds like they know what they're working with and what their limitations are and have the desire to run a decent airline, so best of luck to them. Might be a cool company to fly for.

STS-LAS, eh? https://thepointsguy.com/news/avelo-...ing-las-vegas/

I could understand BUR-LAS; they could run a weekly stripper express. But STS-LAS?
Am I missing something ... is there a community college in Santa Rosa that offers classes on pole dancing and lap dances?

Classic hubris of planning.

STS is assumed people from the bay will drive up for cheap tickets. They never do.

See KSWF Stewart Newburgh for reference. Airlines for years have been adding and then pulling out of that place thinking New Yorkers would travel to it.

Three airlines have tried this route in the past 20 years. Alaska, allegiant and sun country all of them ended up stoping the route with load factors averaging the mid 70%. Hope it works for them but not a great history for this route.

Allegiant tried STS-LAS. It didn't last very long. Low load factors. Even at Allegiant ticket prices. It was also operationally challenged in the 80. Don't think they ever went in the A320.
