Exclamation New Changes to Airline Pilot Forums

Hello to all community members and users of Airline Pilot Forums!

We at Airline Pilot Central want you to know that we have heard your feedback loud and clear. From now on, the forum will have the Classic appearance that you all love with some minor adjustments to make it look more sleek and modern. We will be phasing out the "New" forum button.

This will give us a fresh start as we learn from you what you want from your Airline Pilot Forum experience. We created a new survey about Airline Pilot Forums that you can access here:

Click Here to Take the Survey

Please let us know what you think about the forums and what future improvements you would like to see. We are listening.

Thank you,
Michael

The classic appearance WITHOUT “some minor adjustments to make it look more sleek and modern” was clearly superior. Exactly why everyone who does some software revision feels they need to “make it look more sleek and modern” is beyond me, I suppose it’s ego driven. Sometimes it’s best to just leave well enough alone.

And the new “update” is glitchy as anything on an iPhone, at least the iPhone 10.

and Siri says she doesn’t like it…

Thanks for soliciting feedback. I like a lot of the Improvements. Communication to help improve is greatly appreciated.

Two items for right now.

1. For any future major upgrade releases, please give us a heads up in advance. I will tell you for the first two days I could not get anything to read, no matter what I did. I thought I had gotten a suspension from the moderators. I had no idea what I had done. (If you mention this to Rick, you will have him tell you that would be very ironic.)

2. Please increase the font size or add more space around the “View First Unread” for the thread. Maybe it is my fat fingers or inaccurate pushing, but half the time I do not get it to click when I try to push it.

Agree with this. When navigating the pages the little squares make it hard to get where you are aiming

Looks nice.
Seems faster, maybe I'm just imagining that.
Loving no ads, which probably slowed it down?

Agreed. Significant advantage. Ads on the top, side, and bottom are okay ways to generate revenue. Ads that masquerade as threads got on my nerves.

I still can’t figure out how to use it on safari on iPhone. If I click on any individual airline none of the sub categories come up. If I click on the most recently updated sub forum, it used to to have something like major>United>Moab where I could click back to United, but that option is gone. It works fine on computer and chrome but not safari

Clearing my cache worked for me on my iPhone.

I figured out that if I signed out, then back in, it all came back.
