This should be interesting. They will have some stiff competition here...SWA, US Airways, Mesa, Arizona Express... and those are just the airlines with hubs here. Hmmmm....

Looks like Scottsdale West has gone west. From the Phoenix Business Journal 11-04-2005:

* Speaking of the Scottsdale Airpark, several airline veterans tried to get a new commuter service off the ground there but came up short this week. They were trying to start a new venture called Scottsdale West Airlines to serve several Western cities, including San Diego and Las Vegas, with low fares and up to 24 flights per day. It also would create up to 500 jobs.

The Scottsdale City Council declined to move the issue on to the feds for approval after residents voiced concern about noise.
