Trash Hauler - I just love it when some ding-dong thinks the Bush twins need to be dragged into the military. First, there is no legal way to do so. Second, it would provide absolutely no benefit to the military or the country. It would make more sense to draft airline pilots who have so far evaded military service. At least they have a skill. And they already know how to b*tch.

I still find it amazing that they inspect everything going into the garage next to the terminal but pay no attention to the cars dropping passengers off right next to the terminal.
or the rampers..............

Your kidding right??I guuess if you lose your legs your pretty resolved. I say send the Bush twins as GW is so committed!!
PS Before you do the "you should serve" I did 20 and I know it has nothing to do with being responsible etc. Can't tell you how many wives of guys in my command had to have their husbands wages attached to feed the kids.

BTW you can't fight terrorists with conventional warfare. Ya think Washington might figure that out sometime??
Obviously you mis-read my post and are too caught up in politics to realize the benefits of the military. Ok, sure as with everything you must read the fine print. The occupation may cause fatique, upset stomach, dismemberment, and death. When I signed up I throughly understood those possibilities and so did all the fine americans who also answered that call over the generations. If you're looking for someone to blame or throw stones at, he lives in a big white building with four pillars in front.
However, I must commend him. Throughout all this, his resolve is still unwaivered. Although most of his collegues and constituents have decided change their opinion. He has standed firm, and I still see that today. I may not agree with all his decisions, but atleast he's not bending to all the loud-mouths.
Make no mistake, we are at war. We are fighting against a belief, this is by no means conventional. We are fighting for our way of life. These terrorists would love to turn our country in to the wasteland that has been their home for the last decade.

Here here. During the first couple years of my enlistment I was a "Lifer" and just plain moto. Made the Corps my life and such... But after a couple pumps "At the tip of the spear", a few shrapnel wounds, and losing too many friends the Marine Corps couldn't pay me enough to go through four more years of 7 months on 6 off rotational deployments. Such a high op tempo really sucks the fun out of life.

P.S - Thanks for the cover in Fallujah
