Just when airlines are getting back up in their feet, bam, the hammer drops. And if this thing spreads, all flying will be affected. most places the big 3 fly to internationally are actually statistically way safer than most places in the US. There are a few exceptions of course.

It never ceases to amaze me how scared of travel airline pilots can be. If you're traveling to a bad neighborhood, take common sense precautions and you'll be fine.
