Default Belts for Work

Hey all, I'm looking for suggestions on belts for work, specifically if anyone has used some of the newer micro-adjustable ones, like the ratchet systems. While I know the belts work, I am more concerned about your experience getting through the metal detectors with them on. As it stands now, in my standard WN uniform and jacket, I can keep everything on and not get alarmed, and I would like to keep it that way; however, these new style belts seem like they are much more comfortable, especially for those of us in a transition period of losing weight and getting fit. If anyone has any first experience or recommendations, I would appreciate it.

I’ve got one of the Mission Belts with the poly buckle. The ratchet is nice and since the poly buckle isn’t metal, nothing sets off the detector.

I’d just get a leather belt with a brass buckle

The quick adjusting ones remind me of those pants they make pregnant women

I use Anson and have had zero issues. It may depend on what buckle you choose though. I have one of the gunmetal colored ones.

^^^^^^….that. I bought my belt I wear today likely going now 20 years ago from Old Navy of all places and it’s still going strong Just a 100% brass buckle and thick leather, made in USA. No problems in any metal detector in any airport. Thing might actually make it my whole career as good as it’s done over the years
