Did 91k. Shortest revenue flight was TEB-MMU
At FDX we had a trip a few times on the A300 MIA-FLL. Has to be the shortest widebody flight ever. |
A captain was about to turn into a pumpkin. Needed a Line Check I/A/W § 121.440. Created a live flight with all crewmembers on board from KOPF to KMIA. Had flight mechanic as a pax on the jet, just to put the icing on the cake. Yep… Took off on 09-L (KOPF) and landed on RWY 27-R (KMIA), which was the runway back in the day. We flew straight out so we could get the flaps up and run all the checklist to the Securing checklists.
Then there was Fairbanks PAFA to Ladd Army Airfield Fairbanks (Ft Wainwright) We had a charter in the early 2000’s. We flew fire fighters from Alaska to Montana. We were unable to park the jet, overnight, at FAFB. That said, after catering in PAFA, we repositioned the jet to PAFB, a whole 6.3 nautical miles East. Departed RWY 02-L (PAFA) - Modified right base for RWY 07 (PAFB). Kept the flaps at 15 and basically cycled the landing up then down. |
