Help from Delta guys?
Hey Delta guys,
I applied at Delta just shortly after the app. opened up and in May I got an email from Delta recruitment with the following message. "A review of your application revealed that your address history does not correspond to the information in your employment history. This omission must be corrected before your application can receive further consideration". So I went over my app about 20 times and could not find anything wrong. I then e-mailed the folks over at airlineapp.com and they responded that the application appears correct and they dont know why I got this message. They gave me the direct e-mail for Delta recruitment to find out. So I emailed them and got no response. I even used the e-mail on Delta Net on the hiring page and also got no response. Is there anything else I can do to find out how to correct this issue? I am hoping that with this correction, I can get the call. If any Delta guys have any idea's, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks.

The best suggestion I have is to get a friend at Delta to go into the pilot recruitment department and have them pull you up. I had someone do that for me and they were able to point out a couple of errors I needed to correct before I would get the interview.
It would be very hard to convince someone to give you the chief pilot support phone number. Even if you got it the people who answer the phone guard the recruiters; they probably would not transfer you.

Off topic question here regarding about taxes
I guess this question applies to some of those who commute:
If you don't live in the same state as your domicile, are you taxed by the domicile city and/or state? For example, if you live in PA and fly out of JFK, does the city and or state of NY deduct anything out of your paycheck even if you are not a NY state/city resident?

Delta has been known to send out "correct your application" e-mails to all applicants at the same time. Anyone know if perhaps they did this again?
It is recommended that you cut and paste your application into your word processor anyway to double check for spelling and grammatical errors.

C-17:
They will withhold Georgia taxes during your training footprint in ATL. You must file a Georgia return at the end of the year and get the taxes back, if applicable.
Once you are based, you pay taxes for the State where you call home. What is the address on your passport and tax return? That is probably "home."
Like all tax advice, better to get it from a pro than a pilot on a web board.

I haven't started yet, but at my previous job we were taxed by our state of residence. For example the rich wide body captain that claims his boat or vacation condo in Florida as his primary residence. However your perdiem is taxed for day trips in and out of your domicile not your state of residence.
