What airports do you have to cover while on reserve at alaska if you are based in lax and what are the call out times?

Technically the trips can be built out of all five airports--BUR, ONT, LAX, SNA, and LGB. As of now the bid packet only has trips out of SNA and LAX. Your only obligation is to get to LAX within either 2 or 4 hours (don't count on actually getting any 4 hour callout days). You may use either company "limo" from LAX or your own transportation to get to SNA. For example, if you live in Whittier which is 30 miles from SNA and LAX, it wouldn't make sense to drive all the way to LAX to get on a van to SNA. If you have a crashpad in El Segundo, it would make sense to get the company van from LAX. I haven't heard if you would be given more time to get to SNA if you were driving yourself, if say you lived in Palm Springs.

thats good to know i dont have to schlep my lazy a$$ around the la basin....
one more thing, i thought that i heard somewhere that as a new hire you get a better travel priority if commuting. does that sound familier and if so, how much better and does it actually help relieve the stress of commuting to reserve??
