Not going to work. Who wants to show up even earlier just to not stand in line.

And the ideas just get stupider and stupider. Do they really want to kill the airline industry completely? They are doing a good job of heading that way...

Hey... calling these people stupid is an insult to those who truly are stupid.

How about this, more lanes kinda like Wal Mart. These articles crack me up!! What if the PAX doesn't make it for their 10 minute window?

"The TSA would do well to stop diverting its limited resources away from programs that could more efficiently screen all passengers," said David Castelveter of the Air Transport Association, an airline trade group.

I'll second this.

Are we referring to mental capacity?

I'm not a Bush basher but this was the worst (yes worst) program he put in place!!! The TSA is so bloatted. They have too much authority and they're taking over.

First flight out of LBE, 20 PAX, 3 crew......10 TSA and 4 COPS. I mean really!!!

Caleb Tiller of the National Business Travel Association said, "It's not entirely clear why we need a reservation system to deal with peak times rather than adding TSA staff and (checkpoint) lanes."

I agree....

Why does the NEW kid(s) on the block decide they know more about the airline biz then the airlines.

I've seen them (TSA) shut down a checkpoint because they couldn't staff it. How would that work with a reservation system.

What about the Disney World Fast Pass System!!

Disney's FASTPASS® Service
Take advantage of Disney's FASTPASS® service. You can enjoy the rest of the park while FASTPASS® saves your place in line.

To use Disney's FASTPASS® service:

Look for the FASTPASS® distribution area near the entrance of an attraction (check the complete list of attractions that accept FASTPASS® below)
Check the FASTPASS® “Return Time” display which gives you a span of time during which you can explore the Park before returning to board the attraction.

If the Return Time is sufficient for your plans, just insert your Disneyland® Resort admission ticket, readmission ticket or Annual Passport into the machine.

A FASTPASS® ticket will emerge with your Return Time printed on it. Now you're free to go and enjoy the rest of the Park.

Go back to the FASTPASS® Return queue when your return time rolls around, show your FASTPASS® ticket to Cast Member at the entrance, and enjoy the attraction with a minimal wait.

"We have to get out front and take the fight to them and let them know that when they show up at an airport, they're susceptible to being identified," TSA chief Kip Hawley says.

WTF!! Come on Tackleberry!!

I was in BUF a couple of years ago and was amazed at what I saw. One security lane open and 25, yes, 25 TSA agents manning that one checkpoint. What a fricking waste. Talk about plssing away our taxpayers money.....but Bush says this is "protecting us from terrorists"........yeah, right.
