NYC/EWR Base?

Which of the majors have bases in the area? I live in south jersey and have a 2 hour commute now to EWR, I’m not interested in CAL, USAir, Southwest or JB so no help there. However, I would like to move on but would also like to stay in NJ and keep the commute reasonable. Thanks for the info.

I was an intern for CAL, I could have been over there for three years now but chose to pass it up. The internship was great and can’t say enough about the guys I worked for, but they have to be one of the most divided pilot groups I have ever seen. Management is very good at making sure that it stays that way. You can cut the animosity between the bases with a knife.

Even with the young guys moving over they have no chance of getting a leading contract, when the time comes the IAH group running the show will vote in another POS contract and you can take that to the bank.

I'm in this for the pay check one day and it will never be at CAL!

How long have you been here at Express?

Welcome to the airlines man. That quote could be taken for just about any airline. Go to CAL, get the 737 type, and go to SWA.

Joke:

Did you hear that SWA was suing CAL for not training their pilots quick enough.
