Thoughts on USAirways?
Can someone shed some light on Airways these days? Doesn't seem like too much recent info on them here in the forums.
I know people on the East side are very unhappy with the seniority integration.
They are hiring, is it a decent place to work? Even with age 65 they still have one of the oldest pilot groups, don't they?
Hopefully some of the guys at Airways can shed some light on how things are over there.

A friend who was an AWA guy says that things are relatively crappy because of the uncertainty, the in-fighting, and the like.
Some good threads on this over at FI, if you're a member there.

Concensus seems to be that hiring will mostly be into the E190 at PHL.

As far as aircraft assigned and training.
Indoc is conducted out in Phoenix, due to the fact the pilot has to come out and fill out paperwork. After that most training, especially the E190 training is done in CLT.
Most of the bases will be East side, mostly PHL. There are pilots getting the Bus and 737, but mostly the E190. I am not sure how many pilots are able to get CLT out of the gate. Their have been pilots bidding the PHX and LAS, but not alot of positions.
