Air-Inc ??

Has anyone attended any of the Air-Inc jobfairs recently?? I live in GA and was considering making the journey to Dallas at the end of the month. I'm sure they're job fair is an excellent opportunity, but are the technical seminars that are offered worth the time and money. Any info that anyone has or past experiences with the Air-Inc company that anyone would like to share would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

I got an interview there once (I was slightly below published mins) so the opportunity to meet recruiters might be worth the dough.

The seminars are going to be most beneficial to military guys who have no clue about civilian job hunting and interviewing...they are applying to majors, where interview technique and preparation is far more important than at the regional level.

For a regional:
- Know your stuff (Your current regs and aircraft, plus 91)
- Study the 121 ATP Gliem if they have a test.
- Be Current
- FOLLOW DIRECTIONS: Bring what they tell you to bring.
- Present a cleancut, professional appearance (haircut and suit).
- Get sim prep if applicable.

Not a big fan of the Kit Darby money machine, but I think it's worth going to at least one. I did and was able to get an interview with UPS. YMMV.

I'll second going. Of course, I came to a local fair in DC. No need to go to the technical parts even if in the military.

I found reading "Checklist for Success" was enough to get your mind in the game for the interview.

I talked to Delta, Continental, Northwest and a couple of smaller players that day after already having an offer with United. Got calls from all three within the next two month and one within a week. I'm betting the job fair had a big play in that.

Thanks for the advice. For ref. I am a military guy with about 2000TT 1000PIC, all heavy ME Turbine. If anyone has any tips on getting a shot with DAL, I'm listening... From what i know, don't think they support Air - Inc. Any word on a job fair held by those guys any time soon.

DAL loves military and if you are on your way out they will want to talk to you. Nuf said. We love military. Period. Not all get through. I would recommend that you do the prep and Emerald Coast. It is by far the best way to prepare for this interview.
DAL will not normally call a military guy for an interview until it will mesh with your discharge papers and ability to roll right in the job here. It is not that they do not love you, it is just that there is no reason to offer you an interview slot when it can be done later.

That checks...most folks I'm talking with are getting called for an interview about 2 months out from their avail dates.

What's DAL's definition of "later"?

So its 2 months from avail date on your online application has anyone heard from them earlier than that?

I've been reading Albie's advice for years on this forum and others and have talked with those who have used him and they all speak highly of his service.

If you have two months to discharge, and if you are what they want, you will most likely be getting a call in short order. DAL does not like its military types to be waiting around without a job.

I personally did not use it, but my I am had a more insight than most. I recommend it to anyone that wants to get on here.

2 months

Wow, this forum is definetly a great reference with so many staying on top of the posts. I have had my app on line for a year, and I've been available since Sep. 07. Still no call.
Without Any Bro's going directly to the front office, any other suggestions on how to get noticed. I think, as I'm sure everyone else does also, that I'd be a great fit for DAL. Maybe a Billboard on I-85 just North of Turner Field would work!!! Wha'dya Think...:D
