There is a very good corporate opportunity that is getting filled in the next couple of weeks. This NWA proposal has actually got me considering quitting Delta to go fly in a GIV, GV, slot.

If you think merging with a pilot group that has a pension (NW) lower payscale, a fleet that needs upgrading is to the liking of the Dal pilot group and no problems will occur with a seniority merger of both lists you live in a farytale world.

A lot of our senior guys don't know whats going on with the bottom half of our list. While there may be some slight disparity in the seniority list right now, the most junior 757 FO is within 75 numbers of the latest new hires. They might be talking about who they are flying with on the 757 because the top half of the list is pretty senior for Captains and FO's. Probably because it has the best flying in the company- Asia, Europe, and Hawaii.
I wouldn't quit. Just take a wait and see attitude. I just hope that if it does happen, there is fairness for both sides. The worst thing that could happen would be a Republic/NWA -or much worse- UsAir/Am West type merger. That would be horrible. Good luck and fly safe.
