US Air Interview
 

Can any recently hired US Air pilots give me a time frame from when they were interviewed to when they were notified? Thank you.

Is USAir even hiring???? I thought they were still recalling guys back to the RJ's and then ultimately to the mainline..... no?

Yes, US Airways is hiring. Virtually all of the flowback pilots at PSA and Piedmont have been given a class date. They are hiring off the street. Now is the time to put your resume in if you want to go there!

Lets talk about the positives of going to US Airways...

Despite the whiners who complain that this is not a perfect airline, I can tell you from the inside that this is "Not a bad place to work".

- The paycheck comes on time and does not bounce.
- If you have an issue, usually there is someone you can call to get it resolved,
- The pay is what really sucks here but I expect that will get worked out once the union/labor crap gets resolved.
- New airplanes on order and being delivered monthly.
- New international routes being added in 2008 and 2009

I mean there are better places to be but if you want to work for a major carrier then here is one that is an option.

Sent in the resume and application on the website last week. Any info on how long to hear back. Do I have a shot with no internal rec ?

IIRC someone on here had posted that their app status changed from "inbox" to "review" or something like that and then they got the call. Mine has always shown inbox...I haven't been called, but some on here have.

Put my stuff online in I think early Nov. Got called in late Jan. Hired a day after the interview. Everyone I ran into was nice.

Mine has been in "review" since Oct 2007, app submitted in Sept 2007. So I'm not holding my breath. No internal recs...

When I interviewed at PSA in CLT in OCT there was a guy interviewing with US Airways from AmeriJet, so they have been at it since atleast then..

I put my stuff in in Oct. had one letter of rec. walked in at that time, I got called on Jan 20th for an 31st interview, real nice people, laid back interview got the job offer the next day, no class as of yet but they have called me for info while doing my background stuff, I do not know if they are a good move or not, as the old addage says "ask me in twenty years" but there seniorty list is REALLY OLD so we will see
