Default SAN Parking?

Anybody out there commute out of San Diego and/or know of a decent long-term parking facility around SAN? Thanks in advance!

If you have a beater, you can park it on State St. near or under the I-5 bridge. No parking meters or time limits there. You can walk 1.5 miles to the terminal, or go to one of the parking garages down the street and take their shuttle van (tip the driver a $5). You could also call a cab on your cell phone ($8).

There are also a couple of open-air lots on Harbor drive (towards Pt. Loma) which I think offer a long-term rate.

Okay, thanks. Been scouting around and I think I'll be better served to just take a taxi

If you're an airline employee, call SanPark at 619-291-2087 to check if you are authorized to park at their lot at the intersection of Pacific Hwy and Sassafras at the airline employee rate. It's $75.00 for the first month and $60.00 for each month after that. Plenty of reliable trams run to the terminal from this lot.

For $75 / mo you might as well get a monthly pass at the Sheraton on Harbor Island. You can walk to the terminal or take the shuttle.

I found a shuttle company that'll give me an airline employee discount off their door-to-door service, basically 22.00 each way. As little as I need to have a ride, this is most likely the best alternative. Besides, nothing sucks the joy out of a return to my car like finding that some ass-hat's doored the bejeezus out of it while I was gone

Thanks for the replies!
