As I said before, never trust Corporate "projections." If they were all true, jetBlue would have over 200 Airbus' by now.
And there are several other airlines I could name that blew sunshine up the skirt of new hires, telling them they'd be Captains in 2 years.
Then along comes $110 bbl oil and a change to the retirement regulatory age. Suddenly, airlines are parking jets, putting out displacement bids and furloughing.
That's the nature of the aviation beast. Just as its always been.

Thinking about VA as an option after Frontier?? W_F?? With all due respect to the fine folks at Frontier, things must be getting desperate over there. I've heard the company's having trouble, but come on..."Redwood" is the last place I'd look. If you want to be an industry pariah then go ahead. You'd be doing nothing more than showing support for the kinds of pilots that are helping put you on the street.
