Checking Loads
#1
Hey everyone.
Just a quick question regarding non-rev travel. I am planning on non-reving on an international airline (LOT), and was wondering how can I check the loads before driving all the way down to the airport, so I can get an idea of what my chances are of making the flight?
Also, if I can make the flight, when I come on the plane while non-reving (ZED), should I introduce myself to the head F/A as well as the flight crew? Somewhat new to this so I figured I would throw this in there as well.
Thanks

I'm sure that LOT probably has a U.S. 1800 res number to check the loads, do they not?
Also, I wouldn't say it's necessary to introduce yourself. Go for it, if they hook you up, great. At least from what I've heard, and my own personal experience, don't expect to get first class on a ZED. Like I said, if you (or anybody else) gets it, great!, you scored. But it's not like non-reving in the U.S. where it's standard to upgrade non-revs on your own airline if it's open.

They do have a reservations number. I called last time and asked loads on a flight just out of curiosity, and she said that she cannot give me that information. But I also did not identify myself as a pilot, or even that I listed, so I wonder if that would change anything.
I wouldnt care so much about getting upgraded (although that would be great) as much as I don't want to be rude, especially if they know I am on the flight, which I don't know if they would.
If I did, would they think I have a motive behind it other then being nice (such as hoping for an upgrade to 1st? lol)
