Default Consultant Job for Arpey

Arpey says he's going to hire a consultant to "help it [American] comply with FAA safety rules in the future"

Where do I interview for this job?

Why does he feel the need to spend more money to figure out what maintenance and his crack staff of executives should already know?

Incredible

They have to spend the money somewhere
only not on their crews.

When he spends the AA pilot's "P.U.P." bucks and his team takes bonuses (now's not the time), it's just "dollar signs" to them....in your words....Incredible.

BTW....Watch this week.....are they (Arpey's and his boys) going to take another bonus they have coming?? God, I hope they are not that bold. The Pilots, FAs, Ground Workers, and Mechanics would have Management's hide.

April 16 is management bonus day again. Last year it was April 18 and they awarded themselves between 175-230 million. That was all of 2006 profits paid out to management on April 18 2007.
They claimed it was in the management contract and could not be changed. They said it was executive compensation to keep the top talent form going to other companies.
This year April 16 is take the petty cash day again for manAAgment. It is based on stock performance against peer corp's. The payout could be 20-60 million. With the top 5 in management positions getting 2-3 million each.
April 16 is also first Q reports, most likely a big loss.

April 15 is APA National Action Day. I am off, I am going to wear my uniform. I do not know what will take place. I have an idea.
All our AA domiciles will be taking part.
Our pilot contract is ammenable May 1 2008.

I thought there was a hiring freeze? I know there is a hiring freeze. Announced two weeks ago.

Great, this person can sit in the cubicle next to all the QA (Quality Assurance managers)

QA means nothing here. There has to be 100 QA people in maintenance alone.
Hmmmmmm, as Bill Engvall would say "Here's your sign"

Get after it guys!!

If AMR's mgt team finds it fit to exercise another payout right now.....especially after this past weeks event.....I hope to heck that Arpey and his team catch the wrath of all.

Good luck on your Action Day.....we'll be watching.
