One of the things that Delta looks for is dedication. Both to aviation in general and a desire to be at Delta.
There are 6 more firm orders for the 777 (verified in earnings report) as well as options for more. Each one means about 40 pilots and the hiring folks told me they need to hire again. Of course, anything can change but if you have a chance to get some visibility and aren't lining Kit Darby's pockets, it's a great opportunity. Good Luck! |
got the email, not planning on going, don't think anyone would remember my face in 9 months, besides I have 2 internal LORs so will wait it out...

another example of the "rent-seeking" going on in airline hiring... i can't believe delta is encouraging guys to spend a bunch of $$$ to smack up. smells of a racket if you ask me. this is the only industry i can think of where *candidates* pay to enter a "job fair."
