Continental Bids?
Can anyone show a recent example of a system bid with CAL?
Curious to see what types of positons and aircraft are moving.
Also, what does CAL now expect the first delivery of the B787 to be?

We were supposed to have 250+ openings, but the Age 65 ruling killed any movement at CAL. We have minimal a/c growth over the next year or so, with a few 777s coming in 09 and the 787 pushed to 2010.
This next bid will most likely be a tweak bid to adjust each aircraft/seat/base. Could see some openings in some bases and reductions in others.
My guess, anyway.

Whenever Boeing decides to figure things out, and stop acting like Airbus
Flew with a checkairman on the last trip. He said in talking with the school house in the last standards meeting, they felt confident that the ("maybe") first Q or more likely the second Q in 2010 will be realistic. As of right now, they are getting their hands on additional B777's (200 or 300) to supplement the long haul markets that they are still planning on launching in view of not having the B787 on property as originally planned to have by 2009.
