Question about Spirit
 

I was at MIA and heard an F/O talking about some dude that was at Eagle on the ATR with about 450 total time and that he got on with Spirit.....I dont know if he was lying or not...anyone know if there is any truth behind this?

You may want to do a search--I think there was a lot of discussion here a few months back when Spirit hired some very low-time folks more or less straight out of ERAU. Not sure how it's working out.

I have heard nothing of pilots being hired with that kinda time.....however they did run a class of 12 in January with 8 ERAU kids in it (just graduated top notch best of the best of the best....) apparently there have been some issues with a few of them.

Not a few, just one.

And nothing from Eagle came over with that bunch.

guy in my crashpad was in class with 8 ERAU grads. I know that had a person "Kim" in an earlier class don't know the details on that though.

So whats the story now at Spirit? When is hiring projected to begin again and whats going on with those SJU and LGA bases.....Anyone there yet?

Bases are open I got based in ACY. :( Hoping to get back to FLL sometime soon. 3 went to LGA from our class, 3 to ACY and 1 to FLL. SJU is over staffed for now from what Im told. No hiring for a bit, at a very very conservative estimate would be november at the earliest.

Damn dude that sucks....where are you living? How long before you can bid FLL?
What kind of trips are you gonna be getting outta ACY? Its good SJU is overstaffed, I wouldnt wanna get based down there....too many temptations!
