Woman sues US Airways
Woman sues US Airways; kept off W.Va. flight: Financial News - Yahoo! Finance
Maybe this is old news, but the article says the woman was detained in the security line because she had liquids. And now she's suing the airline because their employees treated her badly and discriminated against her? Hopefully this is just another case of the media getting all the facts wrong. Sorry if this is a redundant or pointless post, but I almost choked when I read that she is suing the airline for this mess. The airlines don't write the security regulations.

I would be shocked, shocked I say, to discover that anyone in Charlie West would treat a native of Pakistan with anything other than the utmost respect.
I doubt the lawsuit has any merit, as Airways had no control over her detention. On the other hand I wouldn't doubt that if she was detained in public that there might be some individuals, including Airways personnel, who would point, whisper, or otherwise defame her...
"that's the one ... that there Aye-Rab is the one what was gonna blow up the airplane with her moisturizer...."
The two year delay in suing airways may well have been because she was suing the culpable agency, the TSA, and it just took this long for that suit to get thrown out. Who would be surprised find out the TSA has legal immunity for any official action?
