So, did SWA stop hedging fuel when it went above $94/barrel? To put it another way, has SWA lost money on its fuel hedges this quarter?

We'll know in about a month! They have always kept their cards close with fuel hedging.

In its earnings conference call, SWA said they would lose money on hedges if oil goes below $60/barrel.

Buy fuel hedges right now, today, at $94 a barrel. Won't get much cheaper than that ever again.

How's that workin out? Glad to see I'm not the only one that has put his foot in his mouth Must be a requirement to fly the SabreJet!

You were right, but even a blind squirrel can find a nut once in a while. Now, where will it be a month or two from now?

Sure glad I fly airplanes, the only industry that seems to be in a bigger mess than ours, is the financial management sector, what a trainwreck that one is.
