I sure hope those of you with Bus time that are furloughed can get the call. If anyone else without Bus time gets called give us the details. Good luck everyone.

Please don't get excited. From what I have heard, we are only taking resumes and maybe putting some guys in a pool in case all the furloughed guys don't come back in December. Right now I think there are 28 furloughs.

And if we do hire, it will only be a couple of guys, and I'm 99% sure those on the bottom will get furloughed in May 09.

So if you have a steady job, stay. If you're out of work, come on over and get a free type rating in the A320 and fly it for a few months. If something better comes up, take it!

Good luck...

Ron

Wow Ron,

One of the most candid assessments of the company I have ever heard from you.

Get ready for ski season.

Cheers

That's what I have heard. Not "hiring", more like testing the waters. Looking to see if all the furloughees come back. If not, they want to have pilots they can put through a "short course" and get out flying.
I am available, and willing. Part time job, if that's what it becomes, is fine with me. Have the summer off with the wife and little one!!!
Already have the type, and left seat time. I know the Legacy AND the Pegasus boxes. Just need to get to know the CFM's!!!

Default Update

Recall notices started showing up in the mail today. I have not seen mine yet, but I have been told we have one week to decide if we are going to return or not. That would give them time to hire replacements for the people who do not return.

I agree that this may have become a seasonal job, but we could also grow this year. You have no way of knowing with a family run business.

Got the call today for an interview in the next couple of weeks. Spoke with the recruiter for about 15 mins, very casual. He said that out of the 30 that were furloughed, 29 plan on coming back and they still wanted to hire. Was very upfront about the reduced flying during the summer months and wanted me to know now before the interview. Hey, even a job for only several months is still better than being furloughed right? Good luck to everyone being furloughed.

JetMonkey,
I have seen your times in other posts. But, I am wondering how did you submit your resume? I sent it directly to the address on the web site it tells you to, AND through the Career Builder(?) link on the website. When did you send it in? I am just holding my breath waiting for a call, but...
Not as much Airbus time, but some PIC in it. The rest of your "resume" on the posts looks similar to mine?
Just curious? THX

I sent it through the career builder website a couple of weeks ago when they anounced they were starting to hire again. You have more PIC time on it than me, I'm a professional right seater on the bus. But the recruiter told me that they've taken guys with no arbi time at all. Good luck!
