Nevermind..... Not worth it.....

Fortunately, we have joint scope now. We are going to be jointly responsible for not letting it happen again.

How would you guys feel about just stapling CP to the bottom? (after bringing back anyone on furlough of course) I understand that would be a major uphill battle to get DL to agree to, but you'd have the E175's on MAINLINE. It wouldn't really change things for CP as far as furlough; either way we're on the bottom and the first to go, so why not get the scope back?

I was hired in 2001. Suppose I wanted to bid left seat in the 175. Not that I would really, but I'm sure there are enough guys that would want to so every Compass captain would be pushed to the right seat and all the right seaters would be furloughed. The training costs would be large. Or do you fence the left seat and abrogate seniority?

No drama. No soup. Oh yea, that great 5% pay raise! It should have been part of last agreement to have some sort of wage restoration. Mother Delta will take care of me.

True the training costs would be large... but the scenario you described is really no different than the current situation, i.e. DL furloughs and flows back to the top of CP, shifting everyone down the list and furloughing the bottom FO's at CP.

Fence the left seat? I don't think anyone would agree to that. It would be available for bid just like any other seat/aircraft on property. Anyone "pushed out" of the 175 would simply bid (or be displaced) elsewhere as their seniority allows. (the thought being if CP were stapled, it would eliminate the need for DL to hire... if there is a need in the near future, which I guess is questionable at this point)

I keep hearing this from Compass guys like you, obviously because you want that to happen. Think about this though, why would DAL staple you guys to the bottom and start paying you guys DAL pay when they can have you keep working for them at the Compass payrate? Several DAL pilots on this forum have repeatedly stated that the DALPA will not stand for that. Both Compass and Mesaba is owned by NWA and Mesaba MEC will object in no uncertain terms to Compass being stapled to the DAL list if the same option is not offered to Mesaba. And if that happens you would not like that because your most senior pilot is a 2007 hire whereas Mesaba has pilots with well over 22 years DOH. It is highly unlikely to happen at best.
