I'm just calling out people who try to pawn off their opinions as fact. As far as the 20 year fence goes, that was the ONLY way the arbitrator could agree on giving the Republic pilots Date of Hire. Without the 20 year fence there would have been a ratio and my ability to fly wide bodies would have been the same. Is that too difficult a concept for you to understand?
And by the way, I can't imagine this merger having some fence protections as well. You know...to protect the former DAL pilots' heavenly bases from those former NWA pilots' hell-like bases.
Pay attention Deez...that's what he/she calls him/her self.

Wow, never realized you guys would get so spun up about the 747-400s. Awesome.
Anyhow, do I have a source online for which Anderson has said what I posted ... no. Thats not where my information came from and it isn't the first time I've heard these horrible rumors.
I'm not the only one on here who has said such things. If anything, they will be replaced by the 777 and it pays the same -- that super premium wide body pay.

That's only below Macon, GA. If you're above I-16 you can omit the "all" from "all y'all" and simply go with the far more cosmopolitan solo "y'all". This line also serves to determine whether you should pick your teeth with a tooth pick or matchbook. As to what is customary beyond the next delineation, my innate sense of southern decorum prevents me from mentioning what implements are used for "tooth picking" south of the Altamaha River.

There are some advantages, but at 180 minutes ETOPS, the 767s and 777s (I don't know what the ETOPS time on the A330 are) the routing isn't restricted at all. There are more maintenance requirements for ETOPS, but I would imagine the savings over a 4 engine aircraft outweight those costs.
Doesn't the 777 have a longer ETOPS time? Something like 240 or more?
Oh and shouldn't the engines on that 787 be blue?

As for the engines on the 787, dunno.

Gotta love that NWA pointer, pointing the wrong way...to the Northeast....
