Default Organized Labor (UNIONS) in the cross hair

If you've been watching the press conference of the UAW, GOP want to end organized labor!

WE MUST STAND AGAINST THIS ACTION!

Im watching the same whining idiot pleading for money for a company that ultimately ran itself right into the ground. As I sit here in my couch, A furloughed member of ALPA. My union has'nt lifted one finger for our companies cause. Why should we give them money... I say furlough as many as u need, reduce production until the world gets back to normal.

They are trying very hard to make it all organized labors fault, which it isn't.

The only thing I hear is bitterness. What have you done for your Union. Did you volunteer? If you did, you would know the the inner workings of union/managment relationship. The auto industry is not at issue (if you had been listening). The union have agreed to give concession, yet the FAT CATS want it ALL! To add salt to the wound, UNIONS are being painted as the root of all evil when a company goes under. UNIONS are not the problem, ITS BAD MANAGEMENT! UNIONS give you a voice at the table at the company you work for. If you want improved relations between Union/Management, employees MUST have a voice at the table!

Would be nice for ALPA to take note and learn how to stand up for themselves. Pussies.

You right about one thing. ALPA does need to take note and stand up! BUT, who is ALPA? The Rank and File! YOU!

It is not entirely their fault, but they did play a huge part in it. I blame both sides.

Management built cars that lacked the creativity and innovation of that of competing foreign products and then priced them very high.

The UAW demands insane work rules, pay and protection. Where else but the UAW can a person get laid off and still receive 90-95% of their pay?

I blame both sides for this.

This is comical at best. Who is "we" and who are you going to stand against? You guys can't even get crew meals on most of your flights anymore.

Gettelfinger is a great voice for labor. I think the UAW is well represented. Nice to see a union say no when they are backed in the corner. He said so many things that need to be said from organized labor today.

I always agreed a vote for the GOP is like the chicken voting for Col. Sanders. I think a perfect example of this is the contrast over this vote. Watch the interviews on CNBC of Corker (R-TN) and then later Gettelfinger if they are available on-line. The e-mail Gettelfinger had is how the majority of the GOP feel.

It's funny all the subsidies given to foreign automakers to locate in their respective states, (which by the way are the senators not supporting the big 3), which are not repaid, but a loan to our own big 3 have stipulations aimed at labor or no deal. Who do you think will be by our side when cabotage is front and center? I assure it will not be the ones with the R beside their name.

First of all, Crew meals were giving to crews because they we're in an airborne aircraft for more than a certain amount of hours which would have compromise the health of the crew membera and in turn compromise safety! Stop stepping over dollars to pick up pennies!
