Thanks for the info.

Delta sure isn't screwing around with getting things done are they? I guess there ARE a lot of planes to be painted, but man.

That's typical. After the Pan Am acquisition, the blue balls were scraped off the tails in a matter of days. I think Tech Ops will paint 'em all if they sit still for more than a couple of hours. I'm not a bus fan personally, but it does look pretty good.

It's a Boeing, or I'm not going! :D

Tsquare,

It's rare for any pilot to be a "bus fan" until they've flown it for at least a year.

Looks good.

Twenty years after deliveries started, the aircraft designed to meet Delta's need for a 727 replacement has finally made it's way into the Delta fleet.

Is that a US Air tail number?

Way back when the FAA was born and required tail numbers on aircraft, Northwest had the opportunity to have all their tail numbers end in NW. They decided to pick US as the suffix for all of our tail numbers. This was decades before there was a USAirways.

When they ran into duplication problems, we had to put NW as the suffix to a very small portion of our fleet. But nearly every NWA aircraft has the tail suffix of US.

What are the new interiors going to look like? Same Delta layout or something new?

Yep... I do have a great attitude and am familiar with acnient Roman History too. I just don't get my rocks off about paint schemes in the same manner as you may... it's called having a life, and the freedom to express my opinions.

But then the picture next to your name explains it all.

Just my opinion, but I really dont think it looks like anything spectacular--Just a bunch of white with the word "Delta" written on it. Yeah, it's shiny, but isnt every newly painted aircraft???
