Default Delta Has Lowered the Bar

If the Delta pilots vote yes on this TA, that will be the end of the so called "major airline pay". You will be no different than that of regionals flying the EM-145 from Newark to Atlantic City. For months now, we have heard how tough you are and how you will not back down. Now that your MEC has backed down by giving it to you in the shorts and allowing you to vote on it, it is time for YOU to stand up and vote this sucker down. Personally, I couldn't care less if you survive or die. My airline kicks your ass on the only route we compete with you on and have now for over 12 years. The reason I do care is because airline management learns from each other. When American Airlines CEO Don McCarty cried wolf, the unions gave and gave. When it was a done deal, the benefit packages for management was revealed. The hypocritcal bastard had to resign. You at Delta are dealing with the same. Grow some balls and vote NO.

You claim that your airline this and your airline that. If Delta accepts, and they are the last major, what happened to your Major?

Chuck, It's tough to get a handle on what you really think of our contract. In a previous post, you mentioned Delta captains working 5 days a month for $200k/yr; you seemed to think that our contract was way too generous. Now we don't have balls if we vote yes on a contract that pays a 757 captain $155/yr ( for the record, this is the industry average, more or less).

From what I've seen of it so far, there's some bad stuff in this T/A; other things I'm fairly pleased with. I plan to look at all of the small print, and vote as I see fit. Your advice will not be taken into account.

BTW- who do you fly for?

What's figure?? If you go away, sooner upgrade (and maybe INTL wide body ) for him. No misunderstanding this guy's interests.

What portions are you pleased with? As a furloughee I am not happy at all with this. The scope portion, combined with the deletion of our recalls tells me there will be no recalls...and could be more furloughs.

It's already started with "regional" pay. Just look at Mesaba and the 16.5% pay cut they want and going after furloughed F/O's who had received their notice, then went out and got another flying job. Taking them to court to recoupe the $10,000 training cost. It's in the contract each new f/o signs, just never enforced before.

Our work rules haven't been gutted. Had that happened, this job wouldn't be worth coming back to. Like most people, I'm not happy with the scope concessions. If this T/A is voted down, that will be why. If that happens, will we be able to improve that portion of our contract? I don't know the answer to that one.

Default Ignore Chuck...

BTW- who do you fly for?
He works for Midwest Airlines, and all he can do is pi$$ on others. He thinks he knows all and if you disagree with him, all he can come up with are personal putdowns and useless diatribe. It's best to just ignore his comments; they are nothing more than flamebait. He doesn't bring anything useful to the conversation.

If you don't believe me, search some of his posts on flightinfo.com. Oh, and he also has multiple screen names, so once one gets banned, he starts to post under another.

Hey Chuck, how are those 757 and 737 purchases going that you so proudly predicted not too long ago? Yeah, I thought so.
