Default Caribean Jumpseats

Has any one tried to jumpseat on Air Caribe or Winn Air? I'm wondering if they are charitable about giving rides to other airline employees (one UAL and one UPS)

Haven't jumpseated on Winair but alot of times they have walk up fares for $1 a mile and ridiculous prices like that. I think I've paid less than 30 bucks for SXM-Saba and St. Barths each way in the past.

Seabourne Airlines in St. Thomas & St. Croix didn't charge me a nickel. Tropic Air in Belize charged me a $1 from Belie City to San Pedro

I'm trying to get from SXM to S. Barth and back in March. I saw the Winn Air web site with all sorts of mention of $30 and $50, but no word on how to get them.

I used to work for Winair in SXM. I know most of the guys flying down there currently and I know they would be more then welcome to give you the jumpseat, even if your airline doesn't have a recip agreement.

Not as sure about Air Caribe, but my experience with jumping around the caribbean is that it is very relaxed and if you show up with some sort of ID they'll allow you on.

..Exception... American Eagle

We took the high speed Cat over to St Barth's, it wasn't expensive. Supposedly 45 minutes, I thought it was longer. Next time i'll just ID90 on Winnair. The airport is cool. I drove the scooter by. Yes, real men drive scooters on vacation.
