Maybe that's why SRB never called me back about my vacation request!

Good one, touche!

I hope this is viewed as a legitimate question. What is the status on legal battle over foreign ownership? My intent is not to stir the pot, just wondering what facts are out their right now.

OK, legit Q. The short answer is not much out there right now. The DOT is dealing with this question in private.

Alaska, AFA and ALPA have filed a complaint, claiming defacto foreign ownership. VA responded the DOT show cause order has pre approved change of control provisions which are being followed. There are links out there with the official DOT filings if you are really bored and want the details.

Not much else is public. I don't know any more than that and if I did I wouldn't be posting it anyway.

[ quote= A320Pilot;583245] let us be nice to each other, we all have one thing in common & that is our profession. I am sure everyone wants to make the big bucks but unfortunately the times are rough & VA is a start-up so you have to understand the position of the pilots & the co as well.[end qoute]

That's good stuff and I'm not even a VA fan.

I'm not sure how they relate. I have no dog in this fight, but on APC this is what it says about Lufhansa:
"Lufthansa invested approx. $300 million for a 19% stake in JetBlue:

If I'm not mistaken, foreign ownership has to be below 50%, so how does that relate at all to VA being owned almost 100% by a foreign entity? Just curious before we start saying both situations are the same. Didn't KLM have a similar stake in NWA as Lufthansa does in JetBlue?
