I think i spent $40,000 on flight training to CFI-II and ME. $60,000 on a Bachelor of Science. 2 years as a CFI @ $8/hour eating handfuls of peanuts and Hot Tamales out of a .25 cent vending machine, and flying a cargo plane that would be having a good day if the engine didnt quit and the deicing boots actually deiced. When does my Average $119,000 paycheck start? I better contact my airline because they've been shorting me!

It is the average pay as of today.
The stubborn fact we all understand is that:
-the more pilots settle for substandard contracts and/or
-the more young pilots with shiny jet syndrome take jobs that pay less than part time dishwasher and/or
-the more LCC's and RJ operators grow and/or new ones pop up
the lower that average will be.
