Combine us with the new hires who wil not have a A plan, and our numbers will be bigger over time. You old geezers better hope you're retired and gone when this happens cause we'll out vote your old a$$ess.....
You certainly are a pleasant fellow. I don't think I've ever seen you post anything positive. It's almost sad. Seriously though, I know your situation sucks. If I could buy you a case of beer, I would.

Furlough recalls after this TA? No way. This TA, if anything, will create additional furloughs.
This TA was a pot sweetening TA for the old farts. Unless they medical out they're not going anywhere now. The economy + 401k losses + sweet TA for the geezers = Age 65 for ALL.

First of all, it won't be. Second, I guess the "nicety" was lost upon you. You just seem to be overly nasty about a business decision that thousands before you have had to experience in this industry. Honestly, I thought I was going to be furloughed with the rest of you. However, business is business. If it made sense to furlough me they would have. So be it. As it was I was spared. My feelings toward the company wouldn't change. I have several friends who were furloughed. If you know me, then you know that I have a very good understanding of the AAG and how these monkeys operate this carnival.

I thought all furloughed pilots would stay on the A-plan. Is this not the case?

85% of AK are not 'old farts', though.

If it only benefits the really senior guys and is essentially the end of your A plan if you're under 47 or so, why did it pass with such a high %?

The people on furlough can keep the A plan. Only guys hired after 12/31/09 will only have a 401(k).

There are actually several reasons, but the primary one is they are a bunch of weak d!cks.

And to set the record straight it is not the end of the "A" plan for anyone except incumbents that choose to freeze their "A" plan and for all new hires.

Echoes of B-scale logic?
