I think we get what we deserve. We voted for this current administration and they dole out the $$$$ like it grows on trees. I think in this environment we should welcome any new jobs that are created. I think we should leave the naysaying for when times are better and more of us have better more secure jobs. Just my two cents.

The last administration did the same thing. Doesn't matter what letter they have behind their name, they're all crooks to one extent or another.

You all remember Christopher Dodd? The one in March who seemed to had a temporary case of amnesia? Well he proved my philosophy of the politician true.

A politician’s loyalty is in the following order:

1. Their greedy selves;
2. To those who contributed most to their campaigns
3. To those who contributed to his sponsored PACs
4. The party’; and last but not least
5. Their constituency.

By the way… what ever happened to this so-called do-gooder congressman who was going to champion the cause of the regional pilot? Another public servant that won’t be heard from by his constituents until he is up for reelection.

Show me an honest dedicated politician, and I’ll show you a captain that will treat his fellow 747 crewmembers, including cabin crew, to a fine dinner at Sparks, on his credit card, and not submit the expense to the company for reimbursement.

According to the website, Miami Air is doing the flying for them. JetAmerica is a public charter company.

I don't think they will ever get off the ground:

JetAmerica, a start-up airline that promises some $9 fares on each flight, is facing a “pending enforcement matter” by the Department of Transportation over fare disclosures on its website as well as failing to acquire federal approval to fly into key airports.

As a result of both charges, the airline has aborted its scheduled July 13 launch and canceled a month of flights, requiring the company to refund $650,000 to nearly 6,500 customers.

The DOT enforcement allegedly stems from extra charges the airline bills customers for each flight segment, above and beyond the $9 fare that the airline advertises. It charges a $5 web booking fee, $10 surcharges for reserved seating, and up to $10.60 in government taxes and fees. Booking by phone costs a flat $10. The agency is requiring the airline to better define what that $9 can add up to with all the fees and taxes, according to a JetAmerica spokesman.

The DOT also says the airline doesn’t have slots to fly in and out of Newark Liberty International Airport, one of the airports mentioned in its marketing campaign.

The Federal Aviation Administration told both the company and Miami Air International, the charter firm hired by JetAmerica to fly under its brand, that they needed those slots before JetAmerica could sell tickets on that route. Otherwise, the advertising could be considered “false or misleading,” according to the DOT.

This is not money from the Obama Administration. We received the money three years ago and we are just now using it. It expired in November if we don't use it.
