Sounds great. The Skybus pilot needed somewhere to work.
Who ever thought this up is a genius. Start an airline that will have no margin in the best of times during a major recession.
Want to take wagers on how long it will last?
Wonder who was the idiot to fund this one?

The Cranky Flier has a good summary and send up of this relatively pathetic attempt at an airline.

The founder is quoted as saying
Considering how well-funded and well-planned start-ups like Skybus I, Virgin America, etc. struggle to succeed, it's hard to imagine this going anywhere. Yikes.
Ultimately, it will fail, because with this shoestring budget, they'll be easily crushed if they become a competitive threat to anyone.

The founder is quoted as saying
- "The whole point of this effort has always been to help people (from Skybus) who actually want to come back" and
- JetAmerica's initial routes were dictated largely by financial incentives.

The government. If they can work this out all the power to em. Allegiant has this 3rd rate airport niche and they use Vegas and FL as the hubs that's why it works, don't know what the Ohio valley has to offer.

great, P*##ing tax dollars away seems to be quite the fad these days! Why not waste some more "stimulus" on a doomed upstart in a time like this? Hopefully pilots and safety minded regulators will draw a line in the sand though and demand colgan pay + 3%. *sarcasm*

Hey you guys, do you know where I can send my resume'? This sounds totally awesome! Those 737-800's look huge. Maybe I'll see them at the next Air-Inc job fair. I'll bet I could like totally upgrade in like 6 months.
