Ever flown the 319/320?

For the USAirways airbus guys, go you takeoff with the APU off or running?

I agree. The end justified the means---all onboard survived. Besides, they did what they were supposed to do in a bad situation: They FLEW the airplane.

Always AFTER THE FACT are they quick to point out what people did "wrong". Let's see any of those HYPOCRITES do a better job themselves when under that kind of pressure! This is the problem with having a job that is in the crosshairs of the media and the general sheep.

Absolutely, and that's something that has been lost in this thirst for automation...

I saw on the good morning express with robin meade (who is hot by the way) that "someone" did a study and took 8 airbus pilots and put them in a simulator and gave them the same scenario as FLT 1549 and only ONE of the eight landed successfully. Take it for what its worth.

Anyone have the full transcripts? Ie., from engine start to the "landing."

Are you sure there was a "dual engine flame out"?

Stop monday morning quarterbacking, please. It's unbecoming of yourself and our profession.

Everyone survived the ditching that was unexpected and time critical. Props to Sully.

I'd rather get everything wrong and have a successful outcome than everything right and fail.
