Default Growth in the future for Frontier??

DENVER, June 8, 2009 /PRNewswire-FirstCall via COMTEX/ ----Frontier Airlines (Pink Sheets: FRNTQ: undefined, undefined, undefined%) today announced that it has named Daniel M. Shurz to the position of Vice President of Strategy and Planning. Shurz will oversee management of Frontier's route planning and aircraft scheduling. He also will have responsibility for forging and managing the Company's strategic alliances and joint venture efforts.
Shurz joins Frontier from Air Canada, Inc, where he was most recently Vice President, Network Planning and Alliances. In that position, he directed network design and scheduling of the company's 350 aircraft, including 150 belonging to the carrier's regional partners. Shurz also has held a number of other senior-level positions in the transportation and airline industries, including with the Chicago Transit Authority and United Airlines.
"I have known Daniel for several years; he will be a tremendous asset to our executive team," said Frontier President and CEO Sean Menke. "We are operating in an extremely competitive market and in an economy that has seen revenue declines across our industry. We will count on Daniel's experience and deep knowledge of the airline industry to develop the strategic and innovative revenue initiatives and alliances that will position Frontier for the significant growth that lies ahead."
Shurz received a BA degree from Queens' College, University of Cambridge in Cambridge, England, and an MBA in Strategy, Economics and International Business from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.

Anyone care to speculate what this so called "significant growth" may be?

Maybe they're hoping UAL folds and they'll be in position to pick up the pieces in Denver.

I keep hearing rumors, not very good ones but just the same that Republic is going to be flying 190s for Frontier by the end of the year or first part of next.

And of course, growth that PILOTS like is associated with high demand, a growing economy, hiring, planes, profits, and....
Oh wait.... there's none of that going on right now !!!!
